why does everyone try to shield tank gallente ships when they'er new? anyway, try dropping multi-weapon type setup and go with a couple of lt ion blasters, nosf, and a rocket launcher, in the mids go with a MWD, or AB if you don't have the skills, warp scrambler (7.5km distance type) and stasis web, in the lows, try using an adaptive nano and a small armor rep, last low is up to you.
Side note: you'll NEED a warp scrambler if you expect to ransom ANYONE.

Well, you can replace the ion blasters for 125 rails and use iridium charges. and swap out the rocket launcher for a missile launcher, but you might have problems fitting it all considering you SP count.

depends on the target, but for general purposes, thermal (flameburst, I think) seems to be the ticket for un-hardened/amp'ed t1 targets.

hey, I ain't gonna lie, I remember the 1st thorax I got, I tried using a shield booster on it with something like 2x rcu's and a pdu and a mix of rails and blasters
